Houston, we're not Kennedy Space Center

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Oct 05, 2015

There isn't as much to see and do at the center compared to Kennedy so we left at about 3pm a little disappointed (spoiled perhaps at going to Kennedy first). For dinner we got some Chinese food and called it a night. The Chinese good wasn't that good - Sam had Mongolian Chicken (lots of onion) and I had sweet and sour pork (too sweet, or not enough sour ...

... a weekend so the traffic was not too bad. Seabrook is a really nice seaside town. For dinner we found an independent restaurant called Seabrook Classic Cafe. Sam had crab cakes and I had chicken schnitzel, and we shared a homemade key lime pie for dessert. The food was really yummy and there were lots of locals both eating in and taking out so it was a good ...

... That it is beautiful and they love Americans. Hmmmm......?!? We don't think that trip will make our list.

... mission wound down, Cisco went to work for Rockwell, who were working on the space shuttle, and was assigned to SpaceLab as part of a team working to salvage the program after a disaster at launch resulted in the loss of the part of the lab which managed the temperature control and the radiation shielding. The team he was on worked pretty much literally night and day to come up with a fix that would allow the three planned SpaceLab ...

... on a mission to discover just how many different supermarkets there are in Houston. Here's my list so far, starting with my favourite place: Whole Foods Market, Sprouts, Kroger, HEB, Walmart, Fiesta, Food Mart, Cosco, Super H Mart, Aldi, 99 Ranch Market and Target (and I know there are still more). The range and size of these places is on a scale that Woolworths, IGA and Coles don't even compare to.
