... this injustice, however she was offering to do all of my laundry so I decided some form of concession on my part was in order. My mother's fervent insistence upon the chair's presence, however, does cause me to think that this chair is, somehow, more than simply a seating apparatus. Perhaps my mother has placed it in case I should start an impromptu bar fight in my room and am in need of a weapon, or perhaps it is some kind of ...
Piedmont, California, United States man_in_black... of 1989 tore down the freeway and rejoined the Ferry Building back into San Francisco CBD. It now houses offices on the first floor and amazing artisan delis and shops and great restaurants on the ground floor (which in America is the 1st floor – all very confusing), serving both tourists and office workers. On Saturdays there is a huge farmers market, but on most days you can buy cheeses from the Cowgirl Creamery, Breads from the Artisan bread shop ...

... water bottle employing a little trick I learnt from Griffin (see photo, which also shows how tired we were). San Francisco is such a great city from what we saw of it, but there is so much more that we didn't see like The Castro, The Mission and SOMA and we could spend days wandering the streets of The Haight and getting fit in Russian and Nob Hills! If we weren't moving to Vancouver and America being such a tough place to move to, we'd consider moving to San Fran!
San Francisco, California, United States mikebrookedavis... and it appeared he'd been sitting up agains the tree trunk and waiting for the perfect opportunity to jump out and scare the living daylights out of passerbys. As I was not the frightened passerby it was all very entertaining and our window side seats afforded us great views. Treeman even popped over to window for a little bit to say hello. bless his little heart. After the leafy adventures we headed to one of Brady's favourite bars The Edison. This is a bar with a very Jazz era ...
Los Angeles, California, United States akeakekiakaha... there are my friends waiting for me and surprise, surprise there is my backpack waiting at unclaimed baggage as it had been placed on the original flight. If I had had the energy I would've bolted running and screaming out of the airport after on of the most frustrating days so far in my travels. I will be logging a complaint with the airline over the fact that the Buffalo ground crew did not keep anyone informed as to what was going on for so long. Don't fly United. At least out of Buffalo.
San Francisco, California, United States stiletto666... out tonight that the large 6 x 6 grates I previously didn't notice on sidewalks in front of restaurants and shops are actually loading docks that go down a shaft underground to get large items inside. Pretty cool to see them open. Last, but not least, Ella is going to be the new face of in-store signage for Target Baby. Go Bug! A couple more meetings tomorrow and then I switch hotels and start my conference. Still three nights till I see Phil.

It's an eclectic area, and we enjoy the quirky expressions of it, as evidenced by the photos. Dale Chihuly is exhibiting at the de Young Museum and Legion of Honor from mid June, and has some outdoor works already installed. Jenny first saw his extraordinary glass art in the early 90's when an exhibition toured New Zealand, and other than at the Monterey Aquarium in 2004 has ...
San Francisco, California, United States will_share... it (despite it being on a properly designated track). Its a bit different from the deserts we have been accustom to. And he loves the chance to run ahead a bit, hide inside enormous tree trunks and scare the rest of us when we wander past. Fortunately, there are not too many others on the path - otherwise they might have the shock of their lives and certainly would not be able to experience the serenity that otherwise accompanies the usual Muir Woods experience. Make it back to ...
San Francisco, California, United States cdcass... The congregation was welcomed and asked who was there for the first time - about 25% put their hand up and the rest roared their approval. We were told that the church welcomed everyone, whatever their faith, race, sexual orientation or economic situation. Then everyone held hands and swayed while the band played. Eek. There was another 2 or 3 songs from choir, each one featuring a different solo vocalist, all with the most amazingly powerful voices. It was ...
