Well the first day was just great. We drove all day, and I just kinda slept and listened to half my whole CD collection. Oh well. We drove all the way to Greenfield, Indiana and stayed at the Super 8 Motel and we ate supper at Shoney's. I had the salad bar and ate so little I had to wait like, a half hour for everyone else to finish. We walked back to our room, went swimming, took a shower, watched Down Periscope and went to bed to get ready for another day of driving...(sigh)

Good day although a bit windy. It kept me awake, most of the time... Sunny here and a balmy 10C forecast for tonight. Great WiFi connection, lots of digital channels (33) on the antenna, countless ones on cable plus the satellite (any idea why?). Time to read a bit to get comfy with my upcoming Vietnam trip. As they say everywhere now, have a good one! Jacques

Our show in Triton MS was wonderful. Kids were in testing that day, so the school's counselor (our contact person) helped us set up and tear down. The three of us worked very well!
We learned that this was the first year Camfel had been there. Previously, the school had invited another ...
... a great night's sleep, we woke up with a complete day off! (What a job!)
We took our time getting up, ate some leftovers, played some cards, and went down to the hot tub (not easy being a Camfel technician).
We got a call from Kelsey's parents. They were leaving Alabama, on their way back up to Michigan, and they were going right through Indianapolis. We decided to meet them along their route and stop at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. This would fulfill ...
... Indiana side. Once we took some pictures and got some maps, we kept heading north until we hit Indianapolis. It was such a cool city. Downtown was super accessible and was easy to navigate. We stopped at a local bar and got a bite to eat and drink. Once we were ready to go, we hit the road again heading towards South Bend, IN.
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States ryan.r.smith.87I am doing my best to study for my final two exams of my college career, but all I can concentrate on is this long-distance motorcycle trip I'm about to take. Instead of studying I decided to create this web page dedicated to blogging the trip. For now though I must get back to business and study. Until next time, Bon Voyage!

I really appreciated our two groupings of friends in Western Ukraine and in the Chernobyl area. The relationships run deep over almost two decades of working with them. Friends really ARE friends as I think ...
... but by this time we were really behind on our intended schedule so we mounted up and rode off. Before leaving St Louis we stopped by Wal-Mart to refill some windshield cleaner bottles and get some things to take care of my new tat. After that we were on the road. One of our fuel breaks brought us to a store with some interesting novelty signs that we thought were funny so we took some pictures. 200 miles later we stopped at Cracker Barrel to get something to eat and ...
