We were up early today and left the campground by 8 a.m. We are heading to the Upper Peninsula but will stop half way. Made a reservation at a KOA in Roscommon at Higgins Lake. Overall it was a great first month in Michigan. We were able to test out the camper, organize things, learn some tricks, and realized we weren't going to kill one another on the road for a year (but we knew ...

    Almost Back In Milford

A travel blog entry by louandpam on Oct 24, 2013

Our last campground stop before heading back to Milford to close on the house was just outside Grayling at Lake Margarethe State Forest Campground. One more beautiful campground on a lake that abutted Camp Grayling. It was very quiet and offered sites on the water that were appropriate for tent or trailers. Also several caches to get that are within walking distance to the campground.
