10/15 - traveled today from Las Cruces to Van Horn, TX. We've come to the conclusion that this part of NM is not our cup of tea. A number of years ago, we visited northern NM and hands down, northern NM is the best --- Santa Fe, Cloudcroft, etc. We had a time zone change - we are now in central time and only l hour behind home.

We hooked the car up at the Shell station, although we really could have hooked up at the park and made it into Shell without any difficulty. ... Benson a couple of days ago. I’m fine, just the usual sore arm, but Karen is down for the count. She slept most of the way to Fort Stockton in her big reclining chair and went right to bed as soon as we arrived at the park.
