Didn't wake til 8:30 this morning, late for us so far this holiday, still we must have needed it after the long day we had yesterday.

Today is all about Big Bend National Park so we buy muffins for breakfast, check out and head on our way. A couple of hours and about 100 miles later we arrive at Maverick Junction, the entrance station …

I made it to Phoenix by 8pm, and stayed at an AirBnB that is tops so far (Picture enclosed). ... best laid plans. We pulled out of the Flying J at I-10 and Foster about 1010 and passed 1604 about 1050. Now we were on our way.

Everything went well, we stopped outside of Kerrville to get something to drink (where we saw the wingless plane, Since they were on the road to Fredericksburg, wonder if the plane is going into the museum there?) and then continued (the other two pictures) on to a rest area outside Sonora for a stretch and potty break. ...

We're staying tonight in the Walmart parking lot. There are close to 30 other motorhomes and campers here. Texas has islands of civilization....surrounded by a sea of nothing. Things are a long way apart here, and there's nothing in between.

We drove last night to Hot Springs, Arkansas...and stayed in yet another Walmart parking lot. Walmart has a policy of allowing people in motorhomes and campers to overnight in their lots, as long as ...
