The Flats jumped out of the car and ran to the foot of the roadrunner. They are right about the "Welcome". And after looking around, Flat Bill saw a liquor store called "It's 5-o clock somewhere" and wanted a drink but we told him it was too early. After all it was 3pm....not 5-o'clock. Cris ...

While I was breaking camp the next morning, a man who was camping nearby came over and said that he noted we were from NC. He said that his family were from NC, and were from Yadkin County! ... in the dirt and rocky area of the USA. This park did have a DVD library and we watched two movie that night that we had been wanting to see. The first was THE KING'S SPEECH. The second was THE HELP. Both were very good. Now I need to read a little more about King George, Queen Elizabeth's father. THE HELP really brought me back to my growing up years and wonderful Genevieve!

Tomorrow we head to Fredericksburg, Texas and the hill country.

... and see how far I am from getting out of this place, but my estimate of 4-5 Texas days seems way optimistic.

Pretty quiet day. Had to deal with a couple of mechanical issues. Felt like the hottest day yet. I think it hit 84. But, given where the temps are at home, I don't want to complain about that. Did 120 miles, had expected to have my biggest day yet, but it was not to be. The tailwinds of yesterday turned ...
