We learned during our time there that the hills surrounding us were actually craters that had begun as fissures where lava came pouring out of the earth a mere 2000 years ago. The big, smooth rock trails were pahoehoe ...

They just stared. Whew. Illinois was definitely the most aggressive and abusive; Kirk thinks it’s because there’s a lot of drug running going on through 80 in the area.

We drove thru WY, Utah, Nevada … almost to the border of California! After 12 hours, almost home and it can’t be soon enough. Great trip, good memories and fun with KP … miss my new home, Leroy and being on land more than in a car. ...
