... feeling that was really starting to settle in. But for whatever reason we were noticing a change of mood happening in us as we enjoyed our time there, and looked forward to figuring out and getting started on what was next for us.

Somewhere midway into South Dakota the landscape started changing slowly and a couple of hills appeared on the plains. We also crossed the Missouri River which is MASSIVE. Bikers and bikes were prominent in South Dakota.

... so who could blame them? The fact that two overhead lights were broken on this 767 and basically caused a strobe effect during the entire night didn't help the sleeping issue either. Regardless, I think on the ten hour flight, I managed a good two hour nap in between the singing chants, the midnight dinner, and the 6am breakfast. All in all, I was on my way to Brazil and the freaking World Cup. Sleep at this point was over rated!
