We had to set up in the rain and our planned bbq ended up being a pan fry. Of course that got the fire alarm going so that battery was removed! Oh well! We'll put it back before we head out again. :-)

We spent the morning at the campsite figuring out what type of battery we needed to order and how to change it. I have been super impressed by Chris and everything he has learned about the Westy. Some things are too big and need a mechanic of course but overall he has been great at figuring out and fixing all the little problems. I try to help be his wingman and do some research and bounce ideas around but he has really stepped up to take care of the van. ...
... was not too busy, with a few cars down on the beach. We got to the promenade, where cyclists were still coming in from their ride. Alsorts was laid on for the 1000s of cyclists. I sleep in a little before packing. I leave my beautiful construction view and climb in my car. The trip out of town is relatively painless. Not too many people driving on a Sunday. As soon as I'm on the freeway I'm hitting tolls again. Miami is worse then Sydney. Then there was another toll gate where I had to stop and get a ticket. I knew of this system where they measure your distance and toll you that. The maximum toll was over $15 which was outrageous. Miami, the state ...
