After a free brekkie in our Motel in Daytona, we moved on to visit the historic city of St. Augustin. It is a nice little town wth historic buildings and a fort. We indulged in another wonderful salad, and moved on to stay the night in a motel outside Savannah. We drove around this town, Richmond, and apart from churches there is nothing there. …
Today we went to the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse built in 1887. Surrounding the lighthouse are the original keepers' dwellings with historical artifacts. ( a lot of the tools there reminded me of my Dad) We climbed 203 steps to almost the top of 165 ft Lighthouse and got to walk around the top balcony. Went out for dinner another down pour just like last night but this time we waited in the car until it was over,we went to a cool restaurant with cars cut in half for booths, called "Cruisin Cafe" .... very Daytona car racing ...

We headed towards the beach in the evening. Boy I got to say it was beautiful. I never expected Daytona to be so beautiful. We spent out evening strolling thru the Pier area and then ended up speeding a long time ...
