... start watching football much to Sue's chagrin. I have been deprived of the season so far and I will not be denied tonight. The Iowa Hawkeyes play a night game as well as the Iowa State Cyclones. I will be tuned into both!

... on the tornado winds and hail! As the storms rolled through Sat and Sun, they were not as bad as predicted, but it was awful nice not to worry about the airplane.
Sunday we went to the local "Power Show" which turns out to be the big tractor/machinery gathering for this area. We gawked at every conceivable model of tractor (this years theme was Allis Chalmers).
The show is hosted by Prairie Homestead farm ...

... and airplane restorer with a hangar there on Thomas field. We talked flying, restoring, and life for the two days I was there. Great guy! I helped get an old riding mower going so he could do some mowing around the hangar, good fun!

First Day

... we stopped when we did. Needed a bit of leveling and
got some help from some fellow SAPrs. Complete connections and we enjoyed a
nice chicken meal cooked on our grill.
The plan is early rise tomorrow, continue on I-90 and our
first side trip to Mt Rushmore. Then it is on to Wyoming our target is Buffalo.
Total miles first day out is 350.
