    Got to Broken Arrow, OK after a windy 584 miles drive. Loved the sweeping wide turns on the roads in southern Missouri. Not much to see scenery-wise, so I spent a lot of time listening to fantastic music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's on some CDs that were stuck under my passenger seat.

    I stopped when I crossed into Oklahoma at the visitor's information center and picked-up a couple jar of Prairie Fire jam. ...

    ... and heat and humidity were very strong and so very strange to me. We were transported and bussed in busses with wire screened windows to prevent a grenade from being tossed inside and killing us all. We went to Camp Alpha, so named because it was the very first place replacement military stayed in Vietnam.
