The heavily treed area is behind us and has given way to small farms and fields of corn, potatoes, wheat and barley, which is beginning to turn golden. $3 is the toll to cross the Blue Water Bridge to Canadian customs.     ... the tent under the shroud of darkness, but we were not alone. Canadian mosquitoes joined us at sunset.

    At bedtime, tucked safely in the Kelty, away from hungry insects, we relived our day's events and marveled at our outstanding welcome in Ontario.
