The big boulder that created such great shade last night wasn't helping much this morning, as we had direct sunlight into the tent at 6:30. It gets hot quickly in a sun-strafed tent so we quickly eat breakfast and pack up and get on the road before 8 am. We left Joshua Tree headed south/west passing the usual dry, sandy and barren landscape.
