... the various nauseating exercises astronauts have to go through in their preparatory training. Everyone had a blast building real-time topographical maps and learning about water conservation, but the real highlight was the "Gross Lab," when we got to investigate the origins of morning breath, flatulence, nasal congestion and the like. ... was able to spend some time visiting with my family and exploring Atlanta and neighboring Decatur, and I was mostly back in action by Sunday, though I still don't feel 100% today. They had hanging some tanned racoon, fox, groundhog, possum and skunk skins that the Indians used for clothing. Amazingly, the skunk skins are wonderfully soft and quite beautiful to look at and their smell has been removed. Not sure if it is naturally gone or if it had help.
