    This blog has been created to track our travels from Vancouver to Africa and back. We are a group of 6 people from Grace Church, located in Abbotsford, British Columbia and are excited to be heading out to be a part of the work God is doing in Benin and to encourage one of our longtime missionaries Clara Klassen.

    ... the fireworks later. After dinner we enjoyed a lovely sunset over the bay, followed by a beautiful orange full moon rising over the marina surrounded by distant fireworks. Blaine City's fireworks were due to start between 10.15pm and half past and it seemed like we were waiting forever for them whilst others had been going off around us since sunset. Finally at 10.30pm they went off and were well worth the wait as they seemed bigger and better and went on for a good half an hour. ...

    Today is when our holiday starts. Waking up leisurely and after breakfast in the car to Delta. We had some refreshments on the balcony. It was warm in the sun, quite wonderful. Mirjam had fresh local strawberries and they tasted indeed like local strawberries. Delicious! Mirjam brought us to the airport. Saw Aiden's roller blading video. Wonderful indeed. Cass had her first exam today. Received a text from Beckah that the money had been transferred ...
