    ... and read a book. Breakfast was at a well patronised diner bacon and eggs coffee etc interestingly I ordered French Toast as to me it's bread that has been cooked with egg. Well French toast in Louisiana is not that at all. It's toast with butter and cinnamon coated with icing sugar and served with maple syrup doesn't really go with a fried egg but it was good anyway.     ... to see the swamp people down in the bayou but gave me thoughts of the movie Deliverance so we gave that idea a miss. Have become vertical and headed to the Pamplona Tapas Bar. Great food, olives charcuterie, escargot foie gras , mushrooms and a bottle of Rosè, that's just for starters..... Finishing with bean soup then Apple bread pudding and home made ice cream, brandy and sherry. As Monty Python said " just a little morsel more..." Horizontal again.... ...

    ... spoke English with a French accent. Amazing and so close to red neck Memphis. The who development of both the languages is quite interesting and linguists would describe it as Pidgin. ( no not pigeon as in the bird) but a blend of French ( the colonial one not modern French ) and various African Languages. It is like French widely spoken in the South.
