... the occasional brown and white odd ball, all eating grass and making milk, I suppose. After all, this is Wisconsin...cheese country. I find these cows the prettiest cows, they remind me of palomino horses.

This is middle America and the people are kind and friendly…that is, until you meet them on the road, where some of them are rather rude. Certainly not like the bible belt where my life in Little Rock, Arkansas taught me how kind ...

First Stop: Just west of Fargo, ND at a little burg called Casselton. Sky looks ominous tonight! Drove northwest for 520 miles which was evenly divided between Wisconsin and Minnesota. A lot of farms in Wisconsin but surprised we didn't see more cows in the Dairy State.  Crossed the Mississippi into the eastern suburbs of St Paul at noon. Had good views of the dome of the capital in St Paul and the Minneapolis skyline.  For a long stretch in western Minnesota watched construction ...

    The longest departure EVER

A travel blog entry by veschmidt45 on Jan 10, 2014

Our lively adventure started with a high stress departure. First of all, we are four days late in leaving for this trip. Our scheduled departure was Monday, January 6, but due to extreme cold around the country and various other reasons, our flight from Fargo to Chicago was canceled. That meant we could not make our connection out of Chicago, so everything got backed up. The flights through Chicago to Seoul, Korea, and on into Viet Nam were all sold out, which is why ...
