    ... interior and it was all modern...I was wanting to see old town charm...tin ceilings dark wood, candles and romantic Italian feel and elegance..but NOT....it looked like a typical restaurant...

    Oh well...So we were immediately seated and given menus. We also gave a drink orders, tea for Noel and I and Budweiser Draft for Tony..Tony and I ordered a flatbread veggie ...

    Not a good day.....

    Right after we passed mile marker 90 on I-65, heading south (to mile marker 0), traffice came to a dead stop. For the next hour, we crept bumper to bumper, for about 60 miles. At MM34, we got on a state hwy. to get gas, and got back on just before Louisville, and missed the roadblock by a few thousand feet. So that meant the backup was approximately 80 miles.
    All this driving today was done in pouring rain. We went through about 8 downpours that kept traffic almost stopped - and ...

    ... Kentucky. I don't know why, but they both look like they have nice, small city centres. The Gateway Arch is much bigger and shinier than I imagined, and I'd like to see it up close- on our next trip. With the Cardinals being in the playoffs, a number of buildings and billboards are seen to be cheering them on.     Took the truck in to have the oil changed and the emergency brake tightened up. Found out it had a rear seal and bearing that had gone bad. Took them 2 1/2 hours to get the bearing off as it had fused itself to the wheel shaft. But persistence paid off and they finally got it fixed. Oil change just cost me $342.00 - but glad I found out about it ...
