    ... Platte River Archway. It is a museum and monument to Nebraska's and the Platte River valley's role in westward expansion. The Archway is directly over Interstate 80. .

    We passed a lot of small towns and each one had a museum of some sort usually about the western pioneers. It is helpful to have a smartphone because I was constantly looking up stuff we saw on the way and it made the ride more interesting.

    ... on the road again after grabbing some coffee and filling up my tank. On my way out of town, I was driving down highway 2, once again surrounded by corn fields, I took a right off this little road and ended up in this tiny town called Unadilla, "The Groundhog Capital."     ... with the mini vans and semi's all doing 95 and it made for a hard, character building day. Naturally there is a lot of buffeting, but it is actually the wind pressing my helmet into the top of my head that I find the hardest. I lean forward on my gas tank, duck down and curse myself for not liking windshields!

    ... is to travel west, take our time and see where the spirit leads us. (Mike spirit is telling him Palm Springs, CA) We will be heading back east to spend the summer in New Hampshire with the family.
