      Mitch and I left for Crooked Creek Parking parking lot, Yellowwood State Forest, after work to drop my car off at the end of the trail, well 2 miles shy of the end. We got to Morgan-Monroe State Forest around 8:00 PM and setup camp at the campground. We were the only campers that night and was fortunately the only night we had rain.

      There were no detours today but today was probably the worst hiking day due to all the roads and my knee and foot hurting. The end of the trail, 2 miles out from the car and 2 miles back, was well worth the trip. The end may even be a good starting point to camp at and start off from on our next pass thru.       ... and I started to have foot and knee issues. I later found that my hiking boots were ready to be retired, lack of tread and sole. We stopped for water at an unmarked creek and at lunch for approximately 30 minutes.

      ... was detour in the hike due to logging, which we knew about, but we failed to take the alternate route, which messed up our sense of direction at a Y and we went back north for almost .5 mile, thank you compass. One should take the left trail once coming upon the trail sign for this detour. Even with this detour, we made it to camp around 4:30 PM at the Foxes Den Shelter. The ...
