... get those in Johannesburg. One amusing event occurred, the check-in agent told me she could only check my suitcase as far as Atlanta, not all the way to Dallas, because they didn't have an arrangement with Delta, and because I would have to collect my suitcase at the first port of entry to pass customs.

I told her that she could check the bag to Dallas and that all passengers would have to claim their bags in Atlanta, ...

From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

... Makes this Mama and Baba very happy. Auntie Phuong, Uncle Jeremy, Bennet, Ruby, and Story did not make it until after Addy went to bed, so they met her the next morning. Bennet was first to wake up. Addy was so excited to meet Bennet. She kept signaling for Bennet to come downstairs. They enjoyed some cartoons with Baba before everyone else woke up. And yes, we had donuts again - pigs in a blanket too!

... to go under it. The Kauffman Performing Arts Center is a very cool building that reminded us of the Sydney Opera House. Union Station was a treat, where we had a wonderful lunch at the Harvey restaurant. Fred Harvey was an entrepreneur who created one of the first restaurant chains when he took over the concessions at a large number of train stations and introduced good consistent food and great service with his Harvey girls.
