... Su Laoshi for teaching me bus stop! Mike relieved to find me safely with the bus but heartbroken that the ice cold Diet Coke he had managed to procure for me from the cafe I couldn't find had succumbed to the 36 degree heat. Have asked Mike not to lose me again! Government silk factor interesting but not as good as the rickshaw ride through the old streets. Mike a bit wary and feeling guilty ...

... to convey our concern to the front desk brought us a great deal of enjoyment.

We enjoyed our last dinner at the hotel in Kunshan (no dumplings though :( )

Our Chinese friends took us to a rock music club to celebrate our last night.

It was really empty when we got there at 7:30, but after about half an hour it was packed.

The band went on at 9:30 and the singer joked about never performing for this many foreigners.

Two more teaching days!

Today was our day where the teachers had to take what they've learned and apply it to their classrooms.

We modelled a literacy lesson in the morning, and they had the whole afternoon to develop their own lesson using our strategies and their textbook.

It went really well.

After school, we had an early dinner as we had to prepare for our gala celebration in the evening.

... McDonalds and more KFCs than I can count! It may not be the best place to immerse yourself in Chinese culture, but it's not a bad place to acclimatise to China!

Let's take Thursday as an example.

07:00 – First alarm goes off.

07:15 – Second alarm goes off.

07:30 – Time to leave the house alarm goes off.
