Train station - Jinhua - we were a bit anxious about how much luggage we had, and whether we would be allowed onto the train. All fears disappeared when we saw a woman walking past us - carrying a tree, that was at least 8 feet tall! She was heading to the same train as us. The advice found in our travel book: Ask seven Chinese for directions and you will receive seven totally different ones, all likely to be wrong… Interestingly enough most Chinese can’t just say “no sorry I don’t know” as this would be impolite. Kind of funny (or not) that we have different interpretations of what is impolite ;-).
