... t want to be on a PLANE tomorrow with gastro issues...or ANY issues that is. I skipped all the shellfish and any noodles. It was hard to say goodbye again this year. Fiona, my teaching assistant, said to me, "I just loved your voice for singing and reading stories. I really like your type of voice, it was so very enjoyable." HA! Give me a microphone and I am golden!!! Of course, I didn't have a mike and sometimes didn't even have the music to accompany me...but ...

... years ago. It feels like a home away from home---the guard at the gate is my buddy and while some stores have disappeared others are still the same. Sadly, the basket store at the end of my block is gone and a new building is being put up right where this store was. I used to love looking at the huge baskets and the basket strollers----urban development is everywhere. In the two weeks we have been here I have seen and\ entire building go up. ...

Then Andi, Lauren and I just had tea at The Merry Christmas Bar with two of the Chinese teachers, Shelley and Lily and it was just lovely to sit and chat and talk about teaching and Chinese/American life.
