Traveled to Hinton, Alberta. We took part of the Cowboy
Trail – Route 22. During the trip, we seen a couple of moose in the field. We
didn’t get a picture of them but we did get a picture of a couple of elk. It
was about a ten hour drive with stops. Tomorrow we will explore Jasper and the
    National Park.

    Happy Trails,

    Chuck and Sheila Noel

... in the Wells Gray-Clearwater volcanic field was erupted from nearby fissures starting 200,000 years ago and filled the wide valley of the Clearwater River. Layer upon layer of fresh lava created the plateau, then enormous floods eroded the lava at the close of the last ice age, about 10,000 years ago. These floods created Helmcken Canyon below the falls.

... so cute!!! Really wished we could have for out for a closer look but I not that dumb! Instead we went up the banff tram ride up the whistler mountains for lunch. Great views from the top but we noticed the clouds starting to roll on in which is not good since we found out there is a high chance of seeing he northern lights tonight! Driving through jasper was nice but boring and went asking about accommodation prices we decided to continue onto the next ...
