... feeling really bad. Something's up with my hand. I have no strength or dexterity in it. I think it's from leaning and gripping the handlebar too tightly and cutting off circulation or nerves. When I get to the next bike shop, I want to buy different gloves. We were up early this morning due to another time zone change. Colorado is in Mountain Standard Time so we're now two hours behind home.

It was cool and clear, somewhere around 58 degrees in the morning. Another great night at one of the newer style hotels, Best Western Plus.

Let me explain: Traditional hotels have either a King or 2 double beds (or Queens). Our family of four is way too big to share just two beds so we prefer to ...

However, as we have to try and clear Kansas City by tonight, we have to be on the road for quite sometime today - and it hasn't been helped by the fact that we have crossed into another time zone and lost an hour.

If you want an idea of what driving across Kansas is really like, look at one of the pictures here of the road ahead through a fly spattered windscreen... for about 10 hours. ...
