... about 2-3 miles. Nice walk, and nice area. Lots of potential and as Dick read in TripAdvisor, not as much action on River Walk. There are a few restaurants and bars, but mostly the backside of buildings. We stopped a few people to get directions and advice. Milwaukee is a really cool city, the people are friendly, loads of great food and entertainment options and a pleasantly grungy feel, like a comfortable old chair set up in front of a 50 inch plasma and a fridge full of Miller light.

It was just 24 hours ago ... and already the memory is fading. I wanted to go to church but there were things to do. At 10:35 I saw my chance. I rushed to Holy Hill, just minutes from our house and hit a road block as I approached the entrance, cars bumper to bumper.
After 15 minutes I reached a place to park but there was still a long long climb to the top of the hill.
