The locals say it's warm, but for a girl of the tropics I have my ever present cardigan on! Denton (or as it's promoted online - 'little d') is a university town; or I should say a 2 universities town about the same size as Townsville. The Court house is an imposing building in the central square and the small museum in it proudly shows off all that is Denton Texas, from Bonny and Clyde to ACME bricks! From our overnight at Lake Hubbard, we drove to Dallas to the George W. Bush Presidential Library, a request from Jimmy. EXCELLENT choice- so interesting, from the first exhibit about the American pastime of baseball ( and ALL the Presidents involvements), to the Response to 9-11 exhibit, and the Oval Office reproduction. Two hours waiting on the break down guy and we were finally up and running again. 3 hours down motorways was deff a lot quicker than our rickety roads of Route 66 but I miss Route 66 and can't wait to get back to it n Saturday. However texas is an awesome place and well worth the detour. They really do walk ...
