    Wytheville in Wythe County… pronounced WITH-ville in YTH
    County… my trivia du jour. Anyway I had to stay here another day to find
    that out. Actually- it's Memorial Day
    weekend… this and Labor Day weekend pretty much assure campgrounds are full
    with longstanding reservations. The
    owners here were most gracious and allowed me to stay in their last remaining
    camping cabin though ...

    ... Additionally, sometime yesterday the safety glass in the cabover bunk escape window exploded, sending glass everywhere. Put on a temporary repair (Gorilla Tape) when we stopped for the night tonight. Gorilla Tape is the successor to Duct Tape and MUCH stronger.

    Back at the Mt. Rogers Visitor Center outside of Marion, I ran into several hikers I knew who were getting on the bus I was disembarking to head into town. I left my pack at the visitor center and walked back to the shelter 0.1 miles back down the trail (a shelter famous on the trail, by the way, for both having a shower and being the only one you can have pizza delivered to) to check the log and see who had passed through while I was in town.     ... a waterfall spilling right out of the fibers!

    We decided to drive a little more until we got sick of driving (well until Armando got sick of driving), so a little after 4:00 we stopped in Wytheville, VA for the night. It's tucked in the mountains too, and here's a picture of our view of the pretty mountains, but the buildings and the billboards kinda mess up the view. Susie's and Bob's view was way better!!
