La Sporttiva, model Crosslite 1770-Y Good tread on these shoes, the grip has been excellent to date, in everything from hot rock to wet streams. I can read the terrain with ease wearing these. ... thunderstorms rolled in and soaked everything. Sleeping bags/clothes/packs/pads.....everything was soaked...and now it weighed an extra 7 pounds! The hike out was great, the hiking in the thunderstorm is great.......it is the waking up to everything being wet....and packing up wet gear that sucks butt. Finally made it to the road, hiked to town, and had real food to eat! Is good to be warm....even if my sleeping bag is still wet. Time to crash ...

... turtle.....but my phone has been dead for a while - so no photo of him. The climb up to the shelter was made easier by the lack of full sun. We ate dinner there, then kept on down the trail. At the water source, about 2 miles down hill, StarGazer realized she left her shirts at the shelter. Her leg is busted up, so I ran back up and retrieved it.
