Not far from the bustle of the city, on the peninsula going toward the ferry and Dauphin Island, the wildlife refuge is a natural oasis for animals and plants native to the region. ... knew that I would love this Park, because it was really beautiful. At the Visitors Center we got our Jr. Ranger books. Then we went to our Campsite. There are many amazing birds here, and we got some really cool pictures of Osprey, which can have a wingspan of 6 feet! Next we went to Fort Pickens. At Fort Pickens we went on a Ranger tour.
