      We got up at 2:30 in the morning to start our EPIC road trip of a lifetime! Then we hit the road at 3:15 and it was smooth sailing to Chicago. Annalena had no problem sleeping for the majority of the drive, and the rest of the time she was happy and excited to be in the car. It was a great start to our trip.

      ... between US and Australia that I'm still not used to. Like the light switches - you flick them up to turn them on here as opposed to flicking them down in Australia. The power points have no switches - you just plug in and away you go. Also, so many people have flags outside of their homes - big American flags. I don't understand.
