We have not had a good internet connection and my computer is acting up. So sorry.

We are in the Central Standard time zone and got up early today. Bill had a doctor’s appointment this morning so we are heading to Galena, IL for a look see with Linda after breakfast. Linda prepared a great breakfast for us and we are now ready to go.

Bill and Linda grew up in Apple River and know everything about everything about the area. We ...

More later as internet connections not too good. Pictures won't upload yet so stay tuned. . .

After packing the coach Friday and Saturday, we hitched up the Escape and headed west. I have included a picture taken by my friend Jim Tschantz. I can't say I don’t do windows any more. ... At the end of the conversation, he invited us to tour his in town indoor theater if we were still around tomorrow. Later on, he text me and asked if were interested in touring a local dairy farm as well. The theater sounded great to us but we have seen dairy farms and was not sure we wanted to lose the time. Boy were we wrong, both the theater and the dairy farm were absolutely fascinating!
I might include those stories later.

... chilled all night not doing much! :) Tomorrow looks like we'll spend the day driving through the country side. We're trying to knock out a lot of driving this first week though corn country and then spend more time when the scenery gets becomes something a bit more interesting then the endless corn fields. Goodnight from Lena! Xo (Pics to come, as I don't have any on the iPad!) ...

Rode down to start the trans Wisconsin adventure trail just outside Dubuque Iowa. When I left the house it was 37 degrees. Overall temp was 50-55 the rest of the day. We found some fun twisties after miles and miles of corn fields. Made a few stops for rest, gas and food and ...
