... Neat new game. The campground has horseshoes, shuffle board and a game called holy holes. Has 3 holes in 2 wooden boxes and you stand on one and throw at the other using large metal flat washers. Walked around Helen and took a few nice pictures of the architecture, and got some penuche fudge at Hansel and Gretel candy shop.
Buzzed back and stopped to get some laundry soap in Waynesville. Chilling tonight and doing some laundry.
I love riding down here, but it is much more tiring than straight "highway humping"!
Fred and Mary Beth served up another good breakfast: fresh corn fritters, a veggie sauté, and a fruit bowl. This morning another couple joined us, but the conversation was not as relaxed or lengthy.

... Winery. A beautiful place. Very mountain-lodge-like. We lucked out and were able to get a table for lunch -- and out on their covered veranda, too. The view was storybook. Patty had a shrimp salad; I, a shrimp po-boy. The food was excellent; the wine enjoyable. The wine tasting was impressive.
