    ... Bangor is the probably the most popular entry/exit point for small planes in the North East. But had the usual warm pleasant welcome from customs on arrival (!).

    The Air National Guard has a base here, and was pretty cool to see Black Hawks doing their thing around the airport.

    So - that's the end of crossing international boundaries and flight permissions and clearances. ...

    We started heading back off the island the way we had gotten on and decided that the planned lobster roll for dinner wouldn't work right now after our custard spluerge.

    There were signs all over town and on the shuttle buses for L.L.Bean and when we asked at the custard stand and were told that the flagship store and outlet was in Ellsworth Maine just up the road. Sheree needed a new pair of jeans ...

    On Sunday, the weather was a little drizzly, so we slept in a little (exhausted from the day before) and lazily drove over to Dysart's for breakfast. Susan and I both ordered the blueberry pancakes, which are to die for but are a whole day's meal they are so big and rich. I managed to get about half way through before trading for the over half of Mark's Mexican ...

    ... several hours later ... Mark and I walked to dinner at Sea Dogs and played some trivia. We both won a round (chasing out our arch-nemesis, Walmor) and I even was victorious in guessing at the Sci Fi round. There were very drunk Spaniards visiting (probably for the music festival but they failed to get the memo that it was canceled) who were aggressively surrounding our table, so we finally headed home. At least the rain is gone and there's a little Scandal left to watch.
