... was fill up our gas tank at a whopping 95cents a liter! They do things in Gallons here so we are still trying to figure out the equivalences of everything but we know one thing’s for sure that it’s cheap! We drove straight to Bangor, Maine, the home of Mr Stephen King, avoiding the highways and enjoying the old houses and color changing trees as we went. When we got there ...

After everyone had devoured their slice of cake, Mark opened cards from his grandmothers and his parents as well as a few packages (a new pair of dress shoes and some bow ties). When all was said and done, it was time for Mark's parents to leave and for us to go to bed. Sadly, the birthday boy still had to go to work in the morning. We said our goodbyes and exchanged hugs ...

... down to Bar Harbor and shopped. Sadly, we didn't find "the one" and dinner was nearing so we headed to Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound where Mark was going to meet us for dinner. This is definitely my favorite place to bring visitors because the lobster doesn't get any fresher than this! After we devoured our share of lobster and blueberry pie, we headed to Acadia Fun Park to race around in the go-carts (my cart was the fastest, but it's like being the winner of a snail ...
