      ... then went up to the Mission Santa Barbara for a visit there. It is quite large and also suffered some damage in 1926. It had a super laundry area which I reckon would have competed with the Glasgow Steamies! We set off South again . The beaches all looked great and there were 7 oil platforms out in the bay. Back on Hwy1 we could not see Faria beach because of the RVs parked all along the road. We stopped off in Ventura to get some cash and found a great All American Diner. ...

      ... When Chis told me he thought it might be my worst nightmare I thought he might be exaggerating. Plus I need some shorts. So I set off on the metro and made my way there (I saw humming birds on the way there! They are ridiculously small and beautiful. I could have watched them for hours). Back to the story... I. Did.       ... tan!! Which was a booth job, never had one of them before and the guy explaining it to me was frigging Mexican or something so I didn't really know what he was saying to me!!
      So I am currently sitting here on the floor of my hostel waiting for my tan to dry before I shower, I still have another 2 hours so I am thing I'll just sleep in it!!
      Will keep you updated on the tan sitch I'm sure it is as concerning to you as it is to me haha
