          Whew, what a day, not so much long although there was still a lot of walking done. We got up early and just had fruit for breakfast, yum, and then caught the bus and the train to Universal Studios. Pretty easy Metro system to use, although to use the train you had to buy a Tap card which you can only buy in the train station.           ... have enough time to go up to the castle itself and so headed back off down the highway. Shortly after leaving San Simeon, we came to the elephant seal beach. The beach was crowded with these huge creatures. Some where playing in the shallows, but most were just splayed out in the sand sunning themselves.           ... man were they delicious. We decided on a stroll after lunch and ended up at Polly's Pies where we purchased a cherry pie as Angus needed one apparently. It was very very warm out but with a very clear blue sky and not humid at all.

          Back to the hotel for a rest. Angus went to for a run and braved the cool pool for a swim.

          Off to dinner at a reasonable hour to Wendy's - still the best burgers so ...
