... was just setting down now in front of us and was at eye line, so was the best time to take a break. Arriving approx 5pm, had no problems getting a room and unloaded our luggage. Immediately the chauffeur had a well earned drink. Had to get out the essential provisions out first, for a chill out cocktail and peroni to settle us in. Ten Days to Texas

On this long, challenging bicycle journey, I am currently 120 miles, or 3 days west of Kansas. There I will turn south for another 2 or 3 days to knock off Oklahoma and Arkansas on my way to Texarkana at the Texas state line.

Just writing those words seems a bit surreal, but it's been like that for the entire trip. In reality, I now have over 5300 tough miles behind me ...

... eat it all though.

We went for a wonder after dinner along the Bricktown Canal and watched the ducks swimming about.

We could hear a local band playing and the atmosphere was so good. A million miles from the feeling we had in St. Louis.

We strolled past HOOTERS. We didn't go in. I've got my own bad boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our bed was calling and so we went back to the hotel and turned in for the night!!

... when it was built in the 60's the Americans were less, erm...... Chubby! It was a tad cosy! We shared our capsule with a lovely lady called Joyce. She was on a coach tour across Route 66 and was from Boston (Massachusetts). Joyce and I did NOT enjoy the journey up.
