... approach to landing I gave the passengers a little bit more "float" on touchdown than normal but got it on the ground firmly in some brisk winds. Enrique's Mexican Restaurant on the airfield accommodated us with lunch in the Pilot Lounge since we had Ichabod with us because "no se admiten perros en el restaurante". Ichabod did great with his home-rigged noise canceling headsets and slept most of the way. Good boy! Next stop, Little Rock, ...

We had such big conversations ranging from movies to the meaning of life to family vacations to poetry, and Jamie, Breezer and Carlee all had wildly thoughtful things to say. All our different histories and backgrounds made for so many varying perspectives. Also, on our morning ride, I saw a tarantula for the first time in a wild habitat. It was just ...

... gorgeous Oklahoma scenery (minus the spotted tarantula?!?) carried us through to lunch. I napped after lunch and headed out with Alycia, Lorraine, Jamie, and Carlee before getting separated and engaging in some good conversation with Carlee. It truly is the conversation that makes these day-in-day-out 80 miles here, 90 miles there, bike rides actually bearable. It is a long stretch of miles we have coming up, more than I've ever done in any training and it's really ...
