The campground is pretty busy, but fortunately it's generally quiet at night. However, it takes some planning (or luck) to get a shower in the morning. Fortunately (?) I still wake up around 6am, so I’m usually in and out before the crowd hits. A nice hot shower is a good defense against the chilly mornings.

The next day I was up early to give myself a full day inside, but even this did not seem early enough. To my dismay there was a lineup of about 20 vehicles at the park gate. It had been open for hours, but the hordes were already descending. As I pulled up at the information centre the carpark resembled a shopping centre at peak hour. Sadly, despite its (relatively) out of the way location, Glacier felt a bit like an outdoor Disneyland. ...
... we are grateful for. She has provided us with enough to do over the past two weeks. When we arrived in Missoula, Montana which had been recommended to us for its biking we were just so happy to be there. The guy at the visitor centre was stellar and told us of a shin dig by the riverside and the best trails to visit. We spent the afternoon looking around, enjoying the surfers and kayakers riding the man made wave in the middle of town ...

So, it was REALLY nice to proceed to Bozeman, Montana to hook back up with yet another of the Montclair connections - to stay with Chris‘ high school friend Dave. Needless to say, I opted out of a weekend canoe trip with the guys to have a house with real running water and electricity all to myself.
