So a 90 miler after a restful rest day.

Was overcast in the morning and left St Joseph with a lovely sunrising. Perfect temperature and no wind. Cloud cover lasted. Lots of rolling hills which I quite enjoyed. Rode with Kettie and Barry and then we joined the big boys for a little (Jeremy, Rene and Doug) so upped the pace for a bit.

Stopped for lunch in Jamesport. First cafe went into was like walking into someones front room...uninvited. The whole place turned to look at ...

Left El Dorado, Arkansas pretty early and did a big day today - travelled 530 miles - (850 kms) to a city called Chillicothe in Missouri. On the way we stopped at a gas station at Pine Bluff in Arkansas and they have a Stop n Shop for all your huntin & fishin gear - guns, ammo - you name it - they got it! Had drinks at Applebee's when we arrived in Chillicothe - a pretty good chain restaurant over ...

I wasn't struggling too bad but I had to push through it until almost dark to get to Chillicothe. Luckily there was a Dairy Queen to bring up my spirits. It was a long day but I got through it. Tomorrow I will try to get to Moberly which is 82 miles from Chillicothe. Today I rode 75 ...

... Fortunately the River Road on this side had been turned into a four lane divided highway to I made short work of the 180 miles to get there. My trusty GPS got me to the dealership without any problems and everything is in order for me to get my bike fixed. I am staying approx 2 miles away from the dealer in not a very rich area. So of course decide as there is no good restaurants in the area (except Mexican) I decided to do ...

Day 4: Burrows Family Reunion

... It was a wonderful afternoon of visiting, eating, and playing.

Aunt Martha shared a commentary she had read about the "winter' season of life. It was very poignant because it spoke to the different generations represented in the family and characteristics associated with each season of life. In the "winter" season, people look back and wonder where the years have gone. The basic idea ...
