The Arch was quite amazing to see - about 200 metres tall and with the legs the same width apart - built to honour the building of the first bridge across the Mississippi in St Louis which provided a gateway to opening up the western plains of America. Well, the road was the highlite of the trip thus far! About 24 miles of shoulderless twisty and hilly macadam snaking through corn and potato country. There was a section in the middle with extremely steep hills and elevation changes. As you climb a very steep hill you can't see what is on the other side until you crest the hill, very scary. Oh I almost forgot ... there is an ATV and Tracker Boat Showroom.
