The Arch was quite amazing to see - about 200 metres tall and with the legs the same width apart - built to honour the building of the first bridge across the Mississippi in St Louis which provided a gateway to opening up the western plains of America.     ... it. The color of the road on the map was ambiguous, hopefully it wouldn't turn out to be gravel!

    Well, the road was the highlite of the trip thus far! About 24 miles of shoulderless twisty and hilly macadam snaking through corn and potato country. There was a section in the middle with extremely steep hills and elevation changes. As you climb a very steep hill you can't see what is on the other side until you crest the hill, very scary. What's on the other side?

    ... the whole family, golf department, a hunting department with a knife shop complete with a knife sharpening post, bows and a bow testing range, pistols with a pistol shooting range as well as a gunsmith, camping department with everything imaginable and much more. Oh I almost forgot ... there is an ATV and Tracker Boat Showroom.

    ... and we decided if she has the courage, so do we. We paid another change fee, booked a new trip to China, and paid for the trip in-full. Our tour is nonrefundable so barring any medical emergencies, we shall be visiting China in a few months! The only step remaining in the process is completing our VISA applications.
