... as he would put it. It's still so special with so  many fond memories.   These little suburban NYC girls are in for a treat this summer as they learn what it's like to live in the country, pick and can berries and vegetables, learn to drive on an old pickup on a bumpy, yet wide-open field...and little do they know we will be filling Dad's basement full of firewood, stacked neatly before we head back to New York. It's going to be a great ...

We have arrived!

A travel blog entry by mountaingirlz on Jul 01, 2015

We did great! Pulled into my parents house at 7pm, 1550 miles later. We left at 11:30am Sunday, so that's just under 80 hrs w/three kids and an afternoon on the beach. And I might add on a budget! Visit to TRF, Minnesota

A travel blog entry by noeljrblog on May 26, 2015

... We had great visit with Art and Virginia. Again, I forgot to take pictures - the camera was in the truck - my BAD. We also had a chance to explore TRF. I found the house that Don and Tress lived. I also seen the candy store which is now an Edward Jones Investment office. We also stopped at the beach part on the Thief River. We enjoyed our visit to TRF and headed back to Detroit Lakes.

Happy Trails,
Chuck and Sheila Noel.

We were immediately struck by the immense vistas and the geometric beauty of the prairie wheat fields. The Badlands at Drumheller are like a rip in the prairie, a mini Grand Canyon eroded out of the flat terrain. We spent a day at the Royal Tyrell Museum and were both in awe of the experience, a walk through time and the complete evolution of life on earth. Not to mention the spectacular ...
