      ... so I kept wondering….how did she do this by herself? Just up ahead I see the glowing red entrance gate with gold statues that reads 'Tara Mandala’. I MADE IT! I give Fran the biggest hug and we walk to her retreat room in silence. This is the rule when other retreat members are in silence.       ... to be very dog friendly from what I have read. I look forward to seeing it. Then I think we will stay in Amarillo on Saturday and get home on Sunday. Gotta be there to greet our favorite brother-in-law on Monday. Tom told people at church we would be home on Saturday, but I really don't want to drive 10-11 hours on Saturday. I will break it to him tomorrow evening. =)

      ... with them. The pilot was a former commercial airline pilot who came back home to Pagosa Springs to raise his family. He was an outstanding balloon pilot and very informative about the area as we flew.

      They were short crew members since both their balloons were up (they also have a big 12 person balloon that was being used that morning for a 1/2 hour ride) so we got to help ...

      ... to the main house. It a stove pipe protruding out the pinnacle - they're called Hogans. Hector (a Navajo medicine man) told us that they're used for religious ceremonies, burials, weddings and family gatherings. The door always faces east. Surprisingly he knew quite a bit about western Canada and particularly Alberta. Evidently, he was on a lengthy mission to learn /exchange ideas with other medicine men in Lethbridge, Calgary, Red Deer, Peace ...
