    ... first stop today was the Wisconsin Dells Natural Area. There was a trail that took us down to the river. It had some beautiful views of the rocks and cliffs. There was also a lot of sand so Dad & the Kids went down to get their feet wet. I don't like water much so Mom and I stayed back to take pictures.     ... was closed. We couldn't even get to the quarry. But outcroppings of that distinctive red quartzite used for Native American peace pipes were evident every where. I even had to dodge a good sized rock driving a tent stake at Blue Mounds State Park in the southwestern corner of MN. Cold enough tonight to make a few more blue mounds.
