    June 8th - All day wildlife cruise through Kenai Fjords.

    June 9th - Visit Sea Life Center and then spend time hiking at Exit Glacier. Drive back to Anchorage. Flight to Minneapolis leaves around midnight.

    After we leave, Kent and Laurel will spend a few more days visiting Denali Park before returning home to Illinois.

    ... was closed. We couldn't even get to the quarry. But outcroppings of that distinctive red quartzite used for Native American peace pipes were evident every where. I even had to dodge a good sized rock driving a tent stake at Blue Mounds State Park in the southwestern corner of MN. Cold enough tonight to make a few more blue mounds.

    ... s largest truck stop (Iowa 80) and a sculpture garden. Picked up a hairdryer to defrost the refrigerator. Had pancakes, eggs and bacon for breakfast and lunch at Red Robin. Always good.

    Tomorrow is the Corn Palace and Wall drug.

    Total miles to date: 2254....and we drove 339 miles today!

    Today we drove through all of south Dakota. We stopped and saw Mount Rushmore and drove through the badlands. Mount Rushmore was incredible and I could've stayed there for hours, but we had to keep on trucking. Looks like we will be home a little earlier then initially thought. So we will see you all ...
