... My favorite was the Prairie Ecology Building. One of several stone buildings built by the CCC. Inside, you felt as if a time capsule had been opened into the 1940's. The long wooden desks pushed together with stands of lighting attached to cast near light over your reading or examination of plants. ... It was actually pretty full, but we were able to find a spot at the end. They had a nice walking track around the playground and we took Nash for a walk after we got set up. The only downfall of the park was that we didn't have any internet (it was only $17 for a full hook up though) and we needed to do some planning for Chicago. We decided that we will have to spend tomorrow night at a place with internet.

Sometimes Uncle Dale and Aaron would also go along. Russ and Dale are quite the competitive fishermen and with winter just around the corner, they were getting as much in as they could before the lakes froze and it was impossible to take the boat out.
