... the Mossy cave walk, oh my word it was freezing. Had a lovely walk but was quiet slippery in places especially close to the edge. Then we stopped at Ruby's Inn restaurant for lunch in Bryce. Rich and I had the lunch buffet which had a great selection and the kids all had really good decent meals. Courtney did her ranger crossword and then we went to do the scenic drive in the park. ... that we wanted to scam a couple of wine glasses for our nice bottle of wine and chips we bought for our snacks at 6.00 pm in front of the lodge which overlooks the rim of the Grand Canyon. They are pretty tight on glass and only give plastic cups given the location. On our way back to our cabin we decided to visit the gift shop. Andrew spied another bracelet he really liked in the Native American jewellery shop. All the jewellery is fair dinkum Indian made. ...

It was nearly 4 pm by this time and we were all about hiked out for the day, so we headed back to the visitors center hoping to meet up with Grandpa for a ride to the camper. While none of these hikes were overly strenuous (except for the Narrows), being out in the sun and walking all day pretty much wiped us all out. A good nights sleep was definitely much anticipated.

... what happens next. We do get the top, by holding onto the chains, scrambling up rocks, pushing and pulling our way upwards; avoiding the edge, a few feet away at most and as you will see from the pictures, a few inches either side sometimes !!! It was hard, challenging but awesome all at the same time. Stopping to take a seconds breath and looking around, it was surreal. ... we were walking along side the stream most of the time. There were 2 old cabins along the way, used in the 30's, which are protected exhibits, although they are in pretty bad repair! Anyway, we eventually got to the double arches, to discovere that its a double arch cavern, very similar to the cave dwellings I've already told you about, but without any houses in it.
