Well, very nearly at the end of this blog now. Later today we will transfer to Montego Bay airport, and (all being well) take off for the UK at 7.05pm tonight. We should be back at Gatwick for 10am Sunday.

It is strange to think we are going home. This break has been truly amazing and it is a shame that it is coming to an end. I guess there are some things that it will be nice to return to to (at this point, I can only think of one ...

... covered in tealights and the whole set up looked beautiful. It goes down as one of the real highlights of the trip. The food, as ever, was excellent, but the setting was something else entirely. I'll show you the pics when we're back, but I doubt they will do justice to it.

Today I think we might head down into Negril (10 min by taxi) before coming back for some spa action.

... the setting of this place is quite amazing - and the "resort" (feels wrong to use that word) looks lovely. Lots of spots for jumping off the cliffs into the sea, and our room is very cool. Tomorrow we will snorkel, and have dinner in a cave. All good! Drinks and food both look amazing. The weather is hot and sunny, with the odd tropical downpour (these never last long). We left on a red-eye flight on a Friday, our 10th anniversary.  The first leg of our flight was a quick two and a half hours to Dallas.  Scott bought a one day pass for the Executive's Lounge and we found a nice comfortable spot to relax.  We put two of the lounge chairs together and Wyatt crawled in and fell back to sleep for the three hour layover.  How I envy him at times like that!  The lounge was quiet and comfortable and while I sipped coffee and tried to prop my ...

... along the beaches, and a good breeze (maybe gusting to 40 knots). Walked up to the center of town, which took awhile since we did most of it along what was left of the beach. Wading would be a better description. The various seaside bars and restaurants were either closed or removing seaweed from their floors. There were a few patrons at some of them, all just watching the turbulent sea from the bars.

... but just consider yourself as a volunteer surrounded by plush hotels and free food and drinks. Just take a moment to consider... Now the night before the marathon is the big pasta party. It was incredible, tents and tents of really good food, and even better it was free! Can you see the there? I like the free stuff. Anyway, the four big resorts in Negril provide the food, and they "compete" amongst each other for the best pasta. The party is a great way to meet ...

... to say that out of all my trips, this one is the one that I got to see the MOST regular Jamaican things and people. I HATE to this day that a digital camera wasn't a part of my life yet because I missed out on so many pictures that I'll never get again. But I'll post what I have anyways. Great time at the Samsara Resort..as Matthew said, we saw hit the surface from 40' abov e, and 40' below! We also found out what causes rough churning oceans (from the Jamaican perspective: oll dat Spring Break activite, mon, from the Brit Scuba guide: the blue moon, of course! Breakfast at Choices, lunch at 3 guys.. , & a coupla evenings at Rick's.
