    Similarly to naming Qingdao both the Switzerland and Riviera of China Suzhou is named the Venice of China. I think Suzhou deserves it's title a little more than Qingdao though. It's well pretty and has all sorts of fancy gardens you can visit, my favourite being 'The most Humble Administrator's Garden.' I took most of my photos in there.     Christmas was really nice. I knew when I left home in March that I would be away for Christmas, at the time I thought I'd be in the blazing heat and sunshine of southern Thailand.     Has got to be the strangest party I have ever attended. One of the other au-pairs managed to get us out of "just the au pair" singing duties, which meant we would only have to sing Jingle Bells with the kids.     ... out to be an English band, and a good one at that, so we enjoyed them.

    The bar served good drinks and McDonald's food disguised as their own menu items (seriously).

    We drank probably a bit too much considering we leave for Beijing at 7:15 tomorrow, but oh well.

    Looking forward to tomorrow. but I will miss all my Chinese friends!
