A short bus ride followed by a quick walk brought us to the entrance of the famous Suzhou gardens. Vicky explained that in Chinese gardens there is a natural flow between architectural structures and plants. Artificial elements such as fountains are intentionally omitted so that people can experience the beauty of nature in its purest form. The colors used in the buildings are mostly black, red and gold.
