... fire he went and bought up a whole bunch of the land cheap. People thought he was nuts, that Chicago would never rebuilt. He ended up owning and eventually selling, most of the land which is now the Chicago Loop. But he only lived in his palace for 6 years before he died. Now it has been turned into 6 luxury condos.

... to Delavan. Tracy and her friends happened to be going right through there 5 minutes after I arrived and they picked me up. Couldn't have been any better if we had planned it. The Fish Fry in Elkhorn was fantastic as always. Saturday - Nice hike on the Kettle Moraine trail. Nice way to start the day. Went to Elkhorn's Main Street Day. Big arts and crafts fair on the town square and visited with some old friends there. Roasted corn on the cob is always good. Tracy's ...

Left Indiana this morning and traveled most of day to reach our destination in Stoughton, WI. Passed zillions of corn fields as far as we could see. Arrived about 4pm at Lake Kegonsa State Park. Lovely woody sites which would be perfect if we could keep the Mosquitos from levitating us off the ground. Enjoyed walking through the park tonight-all body parts sprayed or covered. Full day planned tomorrow. Has been great traveling with our good friends. Life us ...

... hacksaw should have been the tool of choice...but trimming a flimsy metal piece with a hacksaw really refined our skill on this tool. In a true team effort we successfully replaced and fixed the ceiling. Post repair my Mom needed to pay off our labor charges, so we went to dinner at the Lake House Inn down the block. This restaurant has been transformed from a hotel that operated in the early 1900s. My Mom's favorite dish is the prime rib, and of course the whiskey manhattan's top ...

    Fire flies for you!

Well, all the lazing reading and listening to the critters means we had some chores to get done, so today, that is what we did. House cleaning.
As a reward we got to watch the fire flies again tonight AND we got woken up at 2:30 in the morning by a HUGE thunder and lightening storm! Loved it!

Okay, I have dried dozens of times to attach a video of the fireflies, but it just won't work. If it ever does, I will let you know. Sorry.
