Our last couple of days here in Show Low have been spent relaxing and seeing the countryside. The babes are too little and Alle too pregnant for anything strenuous, so we've taken advantage of the being outdoors on the back porch, shopping, eating out, and sadly, checking out the situation just down the road with the San Juan fire. ... temps at about 84 degrees and a nice breeze. Roy may have lost to Eric on the Deer Hunter game last night, but he claims he won the "who can catch the most fish" contest. Two tiny blue gill vs. a big long hunk of lake grass! Lol! An older lady fishing from the other platform had two beautifully sized trout on her lines. Oh well, the day was perfectly lovely and relaxed even if we didn't catch much.

... in no time. (If you don't know my big guy, he's known to be a bit anal when it comes to cleanliness.)

Overall, I have to say this place is so much nicer than any other cabin we've stayed in up in this area. I'll score it a 8.5 out of 10 mainly because it's built into the side of a big hill and there's no flat ground for the kids to play outside.

Glad we all made it up the mountain safe and sound.
