... strong to send in any of the Hotshots to battle the blaze. It was only a year ago we lost all those brave souls in the Yarnell fire, so I was glad to hear they are using good common sense and not risking any lives with this one.

... we would be tired after being out all day, I got up early and made meatballs and sauce. Alle threw a nice salad together and we had an awesome dinner followed by a nice evening on the porch.

Roy is off to the golf course today, so we're going to hang out here and maybe do a little shopping later. Aubrey has had another growth spirt in the last week and none of her shoes fit!! Love that ...

Today was travel day to the Rim Country and Show Low, AZ, where we will stay for a week with our daughter Alle and her family before moving across country. We were on the road by 11:30am and zipping up the Bee Line Highway within 45 minutes. (Gotta love that 202 mid-day) In no time we were starting to climb to higher elevations.

Much cooler today, in the mid 80's and overcast
It only sprinkled when I was filling up the car.
Salt River Canyon is spectacular but requires driver concentration. I am glad it was a short day.
