It is such a hassle to have the stops in the US before landing in Canada. We had to go through immigration, pick up our luggage, go through a security check with baggage X-ray, recheck our luggage, then go through security again to get back into the boarding area. I had breakfast Tuesday morning in Winkler, MB and the restaurant was full of farmers talking about pesticides and their plans to plant on June 15th.
