Happy Birthday to me, I got an RV

A travel blog entry by thefarmer3 on Mar 05, 2015

... stow everything, I'm just not sure I have it all in the best spots, but we can rearrange as needed. The RV is pugged into our house via extension cord, so we have lights and heat. Since it is getting so cold overnight (low 20s with chance of winters mix), we are leaving the heat on and the sink cabinets open. We don't want to start off with frozen water lines. Off to ...

      Who, What, When, Where, Why

... Piper is in 5th grade at a year-round elementary school and has a 3 week break in March, so we had a little flexibility with the timing. Bugging Out

A travel blog entry by noeljrblog on Feb 26, 2015

Since we don't want to miss our flight to Hawaii from Charlotte, we packed up the trailer, took it to storage, and headed to our son Zack's place for a couple of days. We arrived in Charlotte at 6:00pm, just in time to hit the start of the snowstorm.

Sunday, we leave for Hawaii. We are ready!!

      Happy Trails,

      Red Eye to Raleigh

A travel blog entry by noeljrblog on Feb 22, 2015

We arrived back to Raleigh at 10:30am. All the flights were on time. We did manage to get about four hours of sleep on our Seattle to Detroit flight. We returned home to a cold Raleigh with snow on the ground. We got back to the trailer to find a cracked water ...

      Day 1 - Retirement

During the past two weeks, I have had numerous retirement gatherings. I received many plaques, gifts, and well wishes. Today at 10:30am, I officially left Turf Care and retired. I dressed up for the occasion by wearing my Hawaiian shirt. Sheila suggested I wear shorts and flip flops, but that was pushing the envelope. Today, Dave Pahl, Dave Knight, and the Reliability group gave me a going away lunch. It was a great time. I received a very ...
